GRÜNER VELTLINER FEDERSPIEL “RIED KLAUS”

It is rich, expressive and a sightly peppery zest – very elegant. This wine has a certain mineral tone which makes it a Wachau classic and enjoyable to drink. A perfect campanion to a lively conversation.

The selective hand harvest took place at the beginning of October.

Soil type: The soil in the Klaus vineyards is of crystalline origin. Over the centuries Gföhler Gneis, which has a sandy consistency, has developed out of granit. The Klaus vineyard has a south-east exposure.

Wine production: The grapes are crushed and after the pressing allowed to ferment with a fine yeast. After a three month period the wine is filtered and bottled at the beginning of Febuary.

A classic! Impressively fruity, with a mineral touch.
