THE CLIMATE IN THE WACHAU

In the Wachau, different types of climate come together: the pannonian climate from the east mixes with the temperate atlantic climate from the west and the cool and often damp air masses coming from the Waldviertel plateau in the north, which leads to a constant circulation of air. Especially the inter-change between hot air during the day and cool night air has a great impact on the quality of the grapes. Out of these grapes comes the elegant, lively, fruity and fresh flavour of our wine which has that distinct taste of the Wachau.
