This wine is normally the best quality Federspiel but this year, dur to the ht weather, it is a light Smaragd.
By a careful selection of grapes from our vineyard Weitenberg, we are able to create this wine.
The Selection is mature, complex and full-bodied wine with a velvety finish.
Exotic fruit paired with a mineral essence and a well balanced interplay of acid makes this wine a real drinking experience. It gives an impression of a summer meadow - a nice floral touch.
This wine is the top quality of the Federspiel and needs longer to mature.

The grapes were harvested selectively by hand at the beginning of October.

Soil type: The Weitenberg vineyard produces this wonderful wine. The soil consists of Gföhler Gneis with clay. Loess deposits are also typical for this south-westerly location.

Wine production: The grapes are crushed and after the pressing allowed to ferment with a fine yeast. After a three month period the wine is filtered and bottled at the beginning of February.
